The Daphne City Council voted this week to use $340,000 left over from a recently completed sewerage project along U.S. 90 to fund a new, $1.8 million sewer project planned for Baldwin County 64. Installation of the 12-inch sewer main from Daphne to Malbis was approved in 2005 and completed early this year, city officials said.
