Goody's Family Clothing Inc., said today it would close its Springdale mall store in Mobile, as the moderately priced retailer files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Also among the 69 stores the privately-owned company identified for closing are one in Selma and three in the Birmingham area.
